Social Media Highlights

If you didn’t have time to do a social media highlight while you were here, be sure to send us info within the first week after you leave, and we can still post it as a “recent resident.” 

Also let us know when you have big career milestones (solo show, book published, etc). We can sometimes highlight it on social, if we have space that week. And please add us to your mailing list!

A4A Online Workshop Access

For up to a year after your residency, you receive free access (when space allows) to join our online financial and business workshops, an opportunity typically limited to artists who live in MA, RI or CT. Learn what we’re offering soon by checking back regularly on the Workshops of our website.

Museum Membership

Your MASS MoCA membership is valid for 3 months after the first day of your residency. Register for member tickets here, your email address will be in our system. Let us know if you’re ever back on campus!

Alumni Residencies

If you’re a Studios at MASS MoCA alum, we’re happy to have you back! Each application cycle, we have a special, simplified application for you to tell us briefly what you’ve been up to since your first residency. With this application you’re only competing against fellow alumni, so while not as competitive as our general application, we only reserve a few alumni spots each season and acceptance is not guaranteed. Alumni are not eligible for residency fellowships or our reduced financial aid and instead pay a standard alumni rate of $400/wk for residencies of 4+ weeks, $430/wk for a 3-week residency, and $450/wk for a 2-week residency. (Note students who have attended a workshop-in-residence are not considered eligible alumni for this opportunity) Alumni apps follow the Regular Application timeline.

Evaluation Survey

Don’t forget to tell us how your experience was and what we can do to improve. As a team, we gather once a month to review the evaluations and to use the feedback to determine concrete steps we can do short- and long-term to improve our artists’ experience! You will receive a departure email with a link to the exit survey.

Foundwork Access

We have a collaboration with Foundwork where residents and alumni of the Studios are invited to create a profile completely free of charge. Upon the completion of your exit survey, you will receive a exclusive sign-up code for Studios at MASS MoCA residents and alumni, and we're glad to share Foundwork with you as a resource to support your practice.
